International Dinner Project: England (Sam’s choice)

England

Now it's getting interesting, double helpings Yorkshire Pud', plates emptied!

Saturday, 26 November 2011

Good ol’ Mother England tonight. Sam was good, helping me make everything, and the lively discussion with two giggling boys about why it was called Spotted Dick…

Everything went down a treat, Ryan skipped the gravy on the Yorkshire Pud, but everyone ate everything without coaxing which was good.
Sam had two helpings of Spotted Dick, I asked him as he was going to bed whether he enjoyed England Night, and what his favourite was (we had them as three courses), he said “First, Cornish Pasties; Second, Yorkshire Pud; Third, Spotted Dick” – Somehow I think he was telling me what he thought I wanted to hear… heaps of Spotted Dick left though… I might have seconds for supper too…

Sam’s favourites in order: “First, Cornish Pasties; Second, Yorkshire Pud; Third, Spotted Dick”

Next week: Ryan’s Choice  – Samoa!

Great, means I have an excuse to have Oka again!
